🌻Solarpunk | Why is Solarpunk coming to Nintendo Switch 2, but not Nintendo Switch 1?

Solarpunk is coming to Nintendo Switch 2, but not to Nintendo Switch 1 due to performance reasons and development priorities.

Bringing Solarpunk to Nintendo Switch 1 would require major technical adjustments and optimization work because of the platform’s hardware limitations. Unfortunately, we were not able to complete this within the available development time while still delivering the experience we want players to have.

We understand that this may be disappointing for Nintendo Switch 1 players, and we are sorry.

🌻Solarpunk | Why did you not communicate this earlier?

We intentionally waited before confirming specific platforms until we were confident about what we could realistically deliver.

We did not want to promise a platform version too early and then risk disappointing players later. However, we understand that the communication may not have been clear enough, and we apologize for that.
